Phillips, Henry
Born and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 1856. Admitted to the bar in 1859. Never married.
He devoted himself to studies in numismatics. Published Historical Sketches of the Paper Currency of the American Colonies in 1865. Published Continental Paper Money in 1866.
In 1862 he was treasurer and in 1868 secretary of the Numismatic and Antiquarian Society of Philadelphia.
