Born in Worcester, Massachusetts. Received A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1955 and M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1958. Married Mary Ranlett June 15, 1963. They have three children. Served in U.S.N.R. 1959-61. Director of rehabilitation at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Mossman collects U. S. colonial coins. Author of “Weight Analysis of Abel Buell’s Connecticut Coppers” for the Coinage of the America’s Conference in 1992. Author of Money ot the American Colonies and Confederation published in 1994. Editor of The Colonial Newsletter after 1997.
