Here are a couple of private "notes" that caught my eye this week, in an article on "carnival money" from Fairbanks, Alaska. The article was published in the July 2013 Alaskan Token Collector and Polar Numismatist, edited by Dick Hanscom. -Editor

Dick Hansom writes:
These are truly rare items as they were only good for one or two nights. Since they were paper, they were highly degradable and disposable. That any survived is quite surprising.
Does anyone have other examples of such carnival money to report? -Editor
